What’s involved

Emergency appointments cover toothache, broken or cracked teeth, lost fillings and crowns, facial swelling, dental abscesses, and knocked-out teeth. We start with an assessment and X-rays to identify what’s causing the problem. Our first priority is getting you out of pain — whether that’s treatment on the spot or a targeted temporary solution while a longer-term plan is made.

We’ll walk you through what we find and what needs to happen next before we do anything.

Who it’s for

Anyone in dental pain or with an urgent concern. You don’t need to decide whether it qualifies as an emergency — if something is wrong and you’re worried, that’s enough reason to call. We’ll assess quickly and tell you where things stand.

What to expect at your visit

Call us between 8am and 10am for a same-day appointment. We’ll take a brief history over the phone and get you in as fast as possible. At the appointment, we assess the problem, take X-rays where needed, and address the pain first. After that, we explain what caused it and what the options are going forward. Nothing is started without you understanding what’s happening and why.

Costs and payment plans

Emergency appointment fees depend on what treatment is needed. We can give you a clear indication of the consultation cost over the phone before you come in. We process health fund claims on the spot via HICAPS. Payment plans are available where needed.
