Invisalign from a Platinum provider.

Platinum status reflects consistent clinical volume and outcomes. We use the iTero Lumina scanner, digital planning, facial treatment planning, and optimised attachments โ€” with a quote that covers the result, not just a number of aligners.

About this service

Invisalign in Cranbourne North.

Invisalign is widely available. The clinical knowledge needed to use it predictably for more complex movements is not. The difference between a case that finishes cleanly and one that requires extended refinements comes down almost entirely to planning, attachment design, and how closely the case is monitored throughout.

What’s involved

Invisalign uses a series of custom clear aligners, changed every one to two weeks, to progressively move teeth. Each aligner works in combination with attachments โ€” small tooth-coloured buttons bonded to specific teeth โ€” that generate the forces needed to achieve planned movements. We use both optimised attachments, designed by the Invisalign system for specific tooth and movement types, and conventional attachments where additional control is needed.

Some movements are highly predictable with Invisalign: expansion, mild-to-moderate crowding, spacing, and arch development. Expansion can be achieved up to 5mm predictably. Other movements โ€” significant torque, deep bite correction, complex vertical changes โ€” require more careful planning and are less forgiving of poor compliance. Our experience managing these cases is what our Platinum provider status reflects.

Every case begins with a full digital workup. We use the iTero Lumina intraoral scanner โ€” no putty, no alginate impressions. We take clinical photographs and apply facially generated treatment planning, meaning the final result is designed around your facial proportions and aesthetics, not just your teeth in isolation. For cases requiring bite or skeletal assessment, we take lateral cephalograms and OPGs. For patients needing Invisalign with twin blocks or expansion work, this diagnostic information is essential before planning begins.

Who it’s for

Adults and teenagers with crowding, spacing, or bite issues looking for a removable, discreet alternative to fixed braces. Patients with pseudo class III presentations or class II deep bite cases where Invisalign is appropriate. Patients wanting to refine previous orthodontic results. Parents of children aged 6 to 11 interested in early intervention โ€” we use Invisalign First as part of our Early Prevention Orthodontics protocol, which is covered in detail on a separate page.

What to expect at your visit

The orthodontic consultation includes a full assessment, iTero scan, photographs, and a clear outline of what your treatment involves, how long it will take, and what it costs. Aligners are worn 22 hours per day and removed for eating and drinking. In certain clinical situations, we instruct patients to wear aligners during eating โ€” we’ll explain the specific requirements if this applies to your case. Some cases also require elastics to assist bite correction.

Our quotes cover the outcome we plan together โ€” not a fixed number of aligners. If refinements are needed within the scope of the planned result, they are included. In some complex cases, additional treatment phases may be required; we’ll tell you clearly if this is likely before you start.

Costs and payment plans

Orthodontic consultation: $250, credited in full if treatment proceeds. Treatment cost is confirmed at your consultation and depends on case complexity. Our quotes are outcome-based โ€” the price we give you is what it takes to get the result we’ve planned. Interest-free payment plans are available. We process health fund claims on the spot via HICAPS.

The exact cost depends on case complexity and is confirmed at your consultation. Our quotes are outcome-based โ€” what we quote is what it takes to achieve the planned result. Refinements within that scope are included at no extra charge. Interest-free payment plans are available.

Simpler cases typically take 6 to 12 months. Significant crowding, bite correction, or expansion cases can take 18 months to 2 years or more. We give you a realistic timeline at the planning stage based on your specific movements โ€” not a best-case estimate. How closely that timeline holds depends largely on how consistently you wear the aligners.

For the right case, planned carefully, yes. Expansion, crowding, and spacing respond well to Invisalign. Deep bite correction and significant torque are more demanding and less forgiving of poor compliance. Invisalign is a system โ€” it works as well as the experience of the person planning and monitoring it. Our Platinum status reflects consistent outcomes across a high volume of cases.

Most patients adapt within a few days. A slight lisp when you first start is normal and disappears quickly. Aligners are removed for eating โ€” your diet is unrestricted in most cases. In specific clinical situations we may instruct you to wear aligners while eating, with a clear dietary protocol to follow. We’ll tell you upfront if this applies to your case.

22 hours per day, minimum. The two hours out of the aligner are for eating, drinking anything other than water, and cleaning. Consistent wear is the single biggest factor patients control in how well Invisalign works. Falling below 22 hours regularly extends the treatment timeline and can affect the final result.
